After trying a lot of brands (for research purposes, obviously), we put together the ones that have passed the WellUp test. The brands you keep seeing everywhere? Usually worth the hype — but not every fabric from every brand is created equal. Some are amazing, others... immediate return.
So here's the rundown of the sets that have actually worked for us.
The Micro Bra + V Leggings combo is the set you want in every color. Great support, a super flattering V-waist, and it instantly makes you feel put together — whether you're heading to pilates or running errands after.
One thing to note: the leggings run a bit big, so size down if you're between sizes.
Anything in the Melt fabric feels like a second skin — one of those sets you barely feel on. If comfort is your priority, Carbon38 is hard to beat.
Upside: you barely feel it on. Downside: very light compression. Not the best if you want to feel snatched, but for pure comfort, it's unmatched.
You've probably seen Oner everywhere by now — for good reason. Simple designs, great colors, and really good compression. We've been loving the Soft Motion capsule: leggings, flares, even the straight legs.
Safe to say we're in our double sports bra era. Newer find for us, but definitely here to stay.
Splits59 just has the coolest designs. Great colors, contrast details, and strong compression without sacrificing style. One of those rare brands where you look cool and feel snatched at the same time.

Set Active has really cute styles and amazing quality overall — but the fabric you choose matters. The Airluxe fabric feels like a second skin, but it tends to pill pretty quickly. The FormCloud fabric is thicker, the quality feels much nicer, and it's significantly more durable. Go FormCloud.
Vuori might not be the flashiest brand, but it's one of the most reliable. Elevated basics that survive wash after wash without losing their shape. The kind of sets that quietly become your most worn — you'll reach for them every single week without thinking about it.
You really can't go wrong with Lululemon. The Align line is still one of the softest, most flattering leggings out there — the kind you end up wearing far beyond the gym.
We've also been loving some of their newer collections, which feel like a fresh update to the classics. One of those brands that continues to do the basics very, very well.
